Richard Phillips is a graduate of the South African Institute of Security and has been a security professional for over 30 years. He has specialised in cash logistics and security management for the past 24 years. Richard retired in 2004 from the post of sales director of Fidelity Cash Management Services after 15 years with the group.
In 2006 Richard was instrumental in the establishment of Cash Connect Management Solutions, South Africa’s leading retail cash management services provider and following a recent acquisition has been retained in a joint CEO position.

1995 to 1998 - Vice President of the SASA and Chairman of the Management Committee
1999 to 2004 - Founding Chairman of the Cash in Transit Crime Prevention Forum
September 2004 - Made an Honorary Life Member of the Security Association of South Africa in recognition of contributions made to the industry.
September 2004 - Received recognition from the Cash in Transit Forum in association with SABRIC for his contribution in the fight against crime.
Current - Director of the South African chapter of Banknote Watch International.
Written numerous articles and presented many papers on various security and cadh management subjects throughout his career. Hobbies include off road touring and camping, Birding, fishing and writing.
